App Lock adds a second PIN/fingerprint after the phone is already unlocked — perfect when you hand the phone over for a call.
Enable App Lock
Search Settings for App Lock, Privacy password, or Fingerprint for apps.
- Turn App Lock on
- Set PIN/pattern linked to biometrics if offered
- Toggle locks for Gallery, Files, WhatsApp, banking
On Samsung, combine with Secure Folder for stronger separation (hide apps).
Tips
- Don’t use the same weak PIN as your screen lock if possible
- Relock settings so people can’t disable App Lock easily
